SMG Fluid Level
if your cog light is blinking when trying to engage into gear, your fluid level may be low.
Parts & Tools:
-Pentosin CHF 11S Hydraulic Oil
-flat-head screwdriver
-baster
-hammer
-empty, dry, small water bottle
-scissors
-clean towel
Open the hood
Be mindful that as the system slowly loses pressure the fluid level will fill into the reservoir again giving you an inaccurate fluid level reading

Open the hood
- first, open your SMG reservoir. these can be closed very tight and sometimes hard to grip depending on the size of your hand
- use a flat head screwdriver and hammer to lightly tap the cap to break the seal. (please do this with care, you will not need excessive force and will not damage any part of your cap)
- opening the cap first will allow you to close it hand tight so its easily ready to check after priming the system.
- the SMG hydraulic system will be primed first for an accurate fill level reading
- to prime the system turn your key to the on position. car does not have to be left in on position when checking fluid
- when you hear the pump stop priming open your cap and check the fluid level
- fluid should be filled to the max fill line at 20 degrees Celsius (68 Fahrenheit)
Be mindful that as the system slowly loses pressure the fluid level will fill into the reservoir again giving you an inaccurate fluid level reading
- use a funnel to add fluid
- if you do not have a funnel cut the bottom off of your empty, dry water bottle.
- if you overfill use a turkey baster to remove the fluid and re-fill to appropriate level. be sure to re-prime the system to check for an accurate reading
